Microsoft Power Pages: taking your website to another level
Recently, Microsoft has launched a new tool called Power Pages, which is focused on creating corporate websites in a simple and secure way. This new product replaces Power Apps Portals, which allowed you to create external websites with low-code tools and dynamic templates. In this way, Microsoft makes a large number of new features available to developers.
Power Pages is incorporated as the fifth element of the Power Platform family together with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents (we will talk about each of these tools in future articles). Although the official version should come out at the end of 2022, there is already a beta version available.
What is Microsoft Power Pages?
It is a low-code tool (low code) that allows you to create secure, modern and data-driven websites that facilitate internal company processes. It is a software as a service (SaaS) platform that allows you to host and manage attractive and adaptable corporate websites. It has advanced design tools so that any user can develop a website of the size and complexity that their company requires.
Power Pages is based on four basic principles:
- Security: It has advanced encryption, user role-based access controls, web application firewalls, and many more features to ensure a high level of security.
- Design and customization: It has multiple templates available or you can start from scratch, all to suit the developer
- Adaptability: Power Pages works seamlessly on any web browser and device.
Being part of the Microsoft Power Platform family, Power Pages can use the data shared and stored in Microsoft Dataverse, the same data used to create applications (Power Apps). In this way, integration with Microsoft tools is guaranteed.
Despite being a new tool, we recommend familiarizing yourself with it, as it offers us a wide range of possibilities for creating an attractive and, at the same time, very secure business website.
